MANILA - Actress Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla has suffered another miscarriage, sources confirmed Thursday evening.
In a text message sent by her husband Robin Padilla, the actor said: "I would like to inform the good public that my wife suffered a miscarriage -- from RP."
Among those who received the text from Padilla are his manager, Betchay Vidanes, and Joyce A. Ramirez, lead publicist for MFT Group, executive producers of the film "Nilalang."
Earlier this week, Padilla backed out from the movie "Nilalang," where he was supposed to co-star with Japanese actress Maria Ozawa, citing his wife's delicate pregnancy as the primary reason.
Rodriguez was reportedly seven weeks pregnant.
Asked whether Padilla will return to filming his entry to the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival, Ramirez said they will respect whatever decision he will make.
"Right now we are letting him mourn then perhaps he will reconsider to return," Ramirez told ABS-CBNNews.com.
"So, let's see as MFT believes in his bankability as a star. Without him, we just didn't think there was another fit," Ramirez added.
