MANILA - Singer Aiza Seguerra is now busy promoting her newest album "Aiza Seguerra: Live" under Star Records.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the former child star said that her album is a compilation of songs that are most requested by her fans during her live concerts. The double-disc album also has live concert pictures, bonus videos, and lyrics.
"Well, it's a live album for the first time. Favorite songs ito at most requested songs sa mga gigs namin. 'Yon ang concept niya kaya 'Aiza Live' kasi ito 'yong mga gustong nariinig ng mga tao sa mga shows," she said.
The album features songs like "Anything For You," "Bilanggo," "El Bimbo," and "Man In The Mirror," Seguerra's tribute for the late "King of Pop" Michael Jackson. She said she heard about Jackson's death on the day that she started to record her live album.
"Kasi same day na nag-record kami ng live album, the same day na namatay siya. Impromptu siya and marami ding nagkagusto [sa song]. Sabi nila isama daw namin, so isinama namin," she said.
Seguerra said her latest album is different from her previous records since it incorporates some fast songs in rock and ballad genres, while staying true to her acoustic style.
"Everything here is acoustic pa din. It's just ngayon, nag-incorporate na kami ng medyo fast songs," she said.
Currently, Seguerra is busy doing bar tours. This coming September 17, on her 26th birthday, Seguerra will be doing a benefit show for the patients of Philippine Orthopedic Center’s Spinal Ward.
