Breakout rapper Shanti Dope surprised his fans Friday with a collaboration with American pop singer Sabrina Carpenter, ahead of her visit to the Philippines this month.
On Facebook, record label MCA Music shared a snippet of a version of Carpenter's latest single, "Almost Love," featuring Shanti Dope rapping verses in Tagalog.
Carpenter intially released "Almost Love" as a single in June, followed by a music video in July.
That original version did not feature Shanti Dope's part.
The collaboration between Shanti Dope and Carpenter comes a week before the latter's series of mall shows in Metro Manila from August 24 to 26.
Fans of Shanti Dope, best known for the juggernaut hit "Nadarang," can look forward to another international team-up for the music newcomer.
He's set to release a track with American rapper Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, also ahead of the group's Manila concert on September 6.
