MANILA - A 12-year-old girl from Laguna completed coach Lea Salonga's trio who will compete at the live shows of "The Voice Kids 3."
Ragen Angel Peñaflor sang Wency Cornejo's "Hanggang" during the Sing-Offs, which left coach Bamboo grasping for words.
"Good job. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that (performance)," the local rock icon said.
Salonga was quick to interject. "You're speechless? You're speechless?" Salonga asked Bamboo. "This is a first."
According to Salonga, Peñaflor's Sing-Offs performance was the best she has heard her sing.
"Talagang ang galing mong magtuhog ng puso at pagkanta. Makakalimutan mo na lang 'yung mundo. Basta kumakanta ka lang. And I am excited because this is the best I've ever heard you sing. Really. That was beautiful," Salonga said.
Peñaflor will be joined by FamiLEA teammates Joshua Oliveros and Yessha Dela Calzada in the live shows.
"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
