MANILA - A trio of young belters from Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s team stunned coaches of the “The Voice Kids” on Saturday with their version of Regine Velasquez’s power ballad “On the Wings of Love.”
Cuneta said she had a hard choosing who among Sharla Mae Cerilles, Aradel Bascruz, and Krisha Aler would make it to the next round of the hit reality singing competition.
“The three of you are the same. If I could take the three of you,” Cuneta said.
Coach and Broadway star Lea Salonga agreed, saying, “Should we flip a coin? Like a three-sided coin, for this?"
Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac both went with Bascruz.
The Megastar picked Cerilles to advance to the sing offs. She will be joining JC Tan who impressed the judges with his version of Jericho Rosales' "Pusong Ligaw."
"The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
