MANILA - The trailer for the historical biopic "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" is finally out.
Released nearly a month before its showing, the film preview poses the question: "Ano ba ang halaga ng isang bayani?" (What is the value of a hero?)
Viewers are treated to a glimpse of the life of one of the youngest generals during the Philippine revolution, Gregorio del Pilar, played by Paulo Avelino.
The film, a follow up to the 2015 record-breaking movie "Heneral Luna," will also see Epy Quizon and Mon Confiado reprising their roles as Apolinario Mabini and Emilio Aguinaldo respectively.
New faces will also be introduced in the film such as Remedios Nable Jose, one of Del Pilar's known girlfriends, played by Gwen Zamora.
The movie also stars Carlo Aquino, Arron Villaflor, Alvin Anson, and Empress Schuck among many others. It is directed by Jerrold Tarog and produced by TBA Studios, Artikulo Uno Productions, and Globe Studios.
The trailer ends with Del Pilar telling Filipino revolutionaries on top of a mountain: "Walang mga bayani sa bundok na ito. Tayo ay mga sundalo na puno ng pag-ibig, hindi ng galit."
(There are no heroes on this mountain. We are soldiers full of love, not of hate.)
"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" hits theaters on Sept. 5.
