MANILA - A secret area inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house, which will serve as the temporary room of contestants nominated for eviction, has been revealed.
In the episode of the reality show that aired Monday, Manolo Pedrosa was brought to the secret room, where he will stay along with fellow nominees to be voted by the remaining housemates.
Last Sunday, Big Brother told the housemates that instead of the usual public votes saving a favorite from eviction, their own votes will count as the sole factor that will determine who will exit the famous yellow house.
However, in truth, the fellow housemate they thought they voted to evict, such as Manolo, was merely made to reside in a secret area of the house without their knowledge.
Manolo, who got the most votes last Sunday, was the first to enter the secret room where he was told by Big Brother to wait for a housemate to accompany him.
Daniel also 'evicted'
This housemate happened to be Daniel Matsunaga, who, after four rounds of discussions with fellow contestants in the main house, was voted for "eviction."
In order to determine the nominee, he or she had to get majority votes, or 4 out of 6.
At first, the six housemates based their votes on household chores, but did not have a consensus. They then agreed to share their personal choices for the "Big 4," or the four winners of the show, to have an idea of who they least preferred. On their third attempt, the housemates voted based on who they think has a bright future after exiting "Pinoy Big Brother."
When the basis of the votes finally shifted to which of them has already proven himself or herself, Daniel got the most votes. Among those who voted for him was a visibly emotional Maris Racal, who considers him an older brother.
Earlier in the episode, Big Brother revealed to Manolo that those who have been voted, or those in the isolated room, will be the nominees for an actual eviction by public votes.
More housemates are expected to join Manolo and Daniel in the secret room in the coming days, as the "eviction" process continues.
"Pinoy Big Brother: All In" airs weeknights on Primetime Bida, and on Saturdays and Sundays as part of ABS-CBN's Yes! Weekend line-up. Afternoon updates are also aired via "Uber" on weekdays.
