MANILA—Star Cinema's "Hello, Love, Goodbye" is off to a massive start with P34 million grossed on its opening day.
"'Di mabilang na pasasalamat po sa inyong lahat na sumama sa kwento ng buhay nina Joy at Ethan at ng ating milyung milyong kababayang OFWs," Star Cinema said Thursday.
The film, top-billed by the first-ever team-up of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, centers around the love story of 2 overseas Filipino workers in Hong Kong.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and written by Carmi Raymundo, "Hello, Love, Goodbye" opened Wednesday to 350 theaters nationwide.
The film almost broke the P35-million opening day record of "The Hows of Us," which Bernardo also starred in with her on- and off-screen partner Daniel Padilla.
