MANILA – Dennis Padilla doesn’t see anything wrong if Joshua Garcia is indeed courting his daughter, Julia Barretto.
The two met for the first time when Julia brought Garcia along when they celebrated Father’s Day last month.
“Okay naman. Mabait, saka mahiyain. Anyway, very respectful na bata. Gusto ko siya dahil low key,” he said.
Asked how Julia introduced Garcia to him when they met, Padilla said: “Walang label.
Padilla believes Julia would not have brought Garcia to their celebration if he is not someone special.
I texted him, sabi ko, 'Anak, maraming salamat.’ Sabi niya, 'Okay po Tito, thank you po Tito.' Happy naman ako dahil happy naman ang anak ko,” he said.
While wounds have healed between him and Julia, Padilla is hoping he could also have a second chance to become a father again to Claudia.
According to Padilla, he was invited to Claudia’s upcoming debut and he wants to spend that special night with his daughter.
“Kaya naman siguro ako in-invite, gusto rin siguro niya akong makasama on her birthday. Katulad nga ng sinabi sa movie ('Finally Found Someone') natin, everybody deserves a second chance,” he said.
Padilla said he is very proud of his daughters’ achievements, especially Claudia who is now trying to make her own name in the music industry.
