MANILA - For the first time, on-screen partners Kim Chiu and Xian Lim admitted in a television interview that they are exclusively seeing each other.
In the July 30 episode of "Kris TV," host Kris Aquino asked the two Kapamilya stars about the real status of their relationship.
"Right now kasi it's not... Sinabi kasi namin, when people ask us, it's unfair to even put a label on it. It's more of nandito kami para sa isa't isa," Lim said.
This prompted Aquino to ask: "Obviously, you're exclusive?"
To this, Chiu replied: "Pwede na."
Lim agreed, saying: "Oo."
Despite their admission, Lim continued to express discomfort about putting a label to his relationship with Chiu.
"But I always say it's unfair to put a label," he said. "I don't know... I feel it's something that is private."
Chiu, for her part, said she is happy with their current "setup."
"Oo, masaya naman kami. Walang pressure na nagaganap or walang obligations," she said.
"Ako kasi, ngayon ine-enjoy ko muna. Na kung siya (Lim) talaga, gusto ko munang makilala niya 'yung family ko," added Chiu, who noted that Lim is already friends with her siblings.
Chiu and Lim first worked as a "love team" in the defunct ABS-CBN series "My Binondo Girl." They went on to star in the recently concluded soap "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" along with Maja Salvador and Enchong Dee.
The two stars are currently promoting their first film together, "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?" which will hit theaters nationwide on Wednesday (July 31).
