Echo admits: 'We can't have a baby yet'

MANILA - Actor Jericho Rosales will be doing a movie after his hit ABS-CBN series "Bridges of Love" with Paulo Avelino and Maja Salvador, which is now down to its last two weeks.

"As an actor, it's time to read new scripts. So may mga pinadalang scripts, movies. Hanap muna ako ng maganda tapos kapag mayroong maganda eh di go," Rosales said.

But the actor revealed that he is set to do a new series next year.

"Another soap na naka-line up naman for next year. Right now, open naman sila sa pitching kung anong project ang gusto kong gawin. As usual ay magpi-pitch din sila so kung mayroong maganda it's either we can start early," he said.

After "Bridges of Love" wraps up, he is set to visit his family in Canada. He might also go to London for "ASAP."

"Pagbalik ko end of September na, October, holiday season na. So we will see, " Rosales said.

Plan for baby

Meanwhile, Rosales also said he and wife Kim Jones are not yet planning to have a baby soon.

"Lagi kaming tinatanong kung magkaka-baby na kami. Alam mo si Kim is very busy at the moment. Her work is different from my work; she works online, she works for different brands. Her work requires her to travel. Kung makikita mo ang Instagram niya makikita kung nasaan siya. Constant travels 'yon, so we can't have a baby yet kung travel pa kami ng travel," Rosales said.

But Rosales said they would like to have a baby two years from now.

"When God says ito na yung time at nagawa na namin ang gusto naming gawin for the next two years, then we will decide. But right now we are preparing. She's preparing her body for pregnancy just in case. Ako din I want to be a good dad for our future kid. Kailangan kapag pregnant siya, nandiyan ako, lalo na kapag nag-give birth, I want to be a responsible father. It's a different stage sa buhay ko ngayon but right now we just can't handle that yet," he admitted.
