MANILA -- Actress Angeline Quinto admitted that she felt sad that she's no longer part of the cast of ABS-CBN's upcoming series "Ang Probinsyano."
"Honestly po, oo naman. Madami po ang nagtatanong sa akin, hindi naman po ako manhid para hindi malungkot kasi nawala na nga po ako sa casting ng soap," Quinto said in an interview on "Kris TV" on Tuesday, where she appeared with rumored boyfriend Erik Santos.
Quinto was originally tapped to play a policewoman in the series that would have marked her onscreen reunion with Coco Martin, her leading man in her movie debut "Born to Love You" in 2012.
In an earlier interview, Quinto said that she decided to leave the project because of conflicts in schedules.
Despite what happened, the singer said she still feels blessed because of her upcoming major concert at Araneta Coliseum with Santos.
"Yun na lang po ang iniisip ko ngayon na I still feel blessed pa din kasi dream ko ito, dream ko talagang magkaroon ng concert," Quinto said.
For his part, Santos admitted that he also felt sad for Quinto and reminded her to just focus in their upcoming show.
"Sinabi ko sa kanya na nalulungkot din ako pero hindi ito 'yung magiging dahilan para hindi tayo mag-strive, na hindi natin pagbutihan sa concert natin kasi as singers dapat mag-focus tayo dito kasi eto tayo. Eto 'yung dapat makita ng mga tao sa atin. At lagi kong sinasabi sa kanya na kapag may nag-close na door, may ibinibigay si Lord na mas matinding blessing," Santos said.
