MANILA - The first team-up film of former couple Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo earned P10 million on its opening day, Star Cinema announced Wednesday night.

"How To Be Yours," which is directed by Dan Villegas, is the fifth film from the ABS-CBN production outfit to reach the box office milestone on its debut following "Achy Breaky Hearts" (P10 million), "Everything About Her (P15 million), and "Love Me Tomorrow" (P13 million).

"Just the 3 of Us" (P16 million) had the highest opening day for a Star Cinema film in 2016 so far.

"How To Be Yours," a romantic comedy, tells the story of Niño (Anderson) and Anj (Alonzo), lovers who always find themselves having to choose between love and career.

It is Villegas' second time working with Anderson after "Always Be My Maybe," which earned more than P100 million throughout its theatrical run back in February. The film only scored an P8 million debut.
