MANILA -- The young banana cue vendor who wowed coach Bamboo Mañalac with her powerful performance during the Blind Auditions is moving on to the next round of competition on the second season of "The Voice Kids," on Sunday.
Eleven-year-old Elha Nympha, who uses her singing talent to sell banana cue, won against two fellow Kamp Kawayan members, Paul Abellana and Kate Campo.
The trio performed Alamid's hit song "Your Love," earning a standing ovation from the three coaches.
"Napakasarap lang, nakakatuwa lang pakinggan 'yung version na ginawa niyo ng 'Your Love' from a perspective ng mga bata, ng kabataan," Sarah Geronimo said, choosing Campo as the best among the three.
Lea Salonga, on the other hand, opted for Abellana. "I don't think I've heard that song more beautiful than right there," she added.
But Mañalac went for Nympha. "Elha, for your age nga, your control, you sing beyond your age. At 'yung mga pinaguusapan natin, una, stick to melody, ginawa mo 'yun. Thank you for listening to me," he added.
After the first weekend of Battles, Nympha, Benedict Inciong and Martina Ortiz-Luis are moving as part of Kamp Kawayan to the Sing-Offs.
Kristel Belo and Francis Lim will represent Team Sarah, while Jonalyn Pepito and Luke Alford will represent "FamiLEA."
Each team will have six members by the end of the Battle Rounds.
"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo and Yeng Constantino, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
