MANILA—Gerald Anderson and Joshua Garcia crossed paths Tuesday night amid the controversy involving their ties with fellow Star Magic talents Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto.

The two Kapamilya leading men took turns on stage at the #ForeverKapamilya trade event held at The PICC Forum in Pasay, where ABS-CBN presented its new and upcoming programs to advertisers.

Anderson leads the cast of the newly announced series “A Soldier’s Heart,” while Garcia is one of the stars of the upcoming gothic drama, “The Killer Bride.”

Aside from performances, cast members of the new programs posed at photo booths set up side by side, putting Anderson and Garcia within close proximity to each other.

It was not immediately clear whether the two actors spoke in person at the event.
Speculation romantically linking Garcia’s former girlfriend Barretto with Anderson swirled on social media starting Sunday, when Anderson’s acknowledged girlfriend Bea Alonzo posted a cryptic message on Instagram that hinted at infidelity in her relationship.

Anderson was Barretto’s first-time leading man in the romance film “Between Maybes,” released last May.

When Barretto and Garcia confirmed their change of status to being “best friends” in late June, both cleared Anderson’s name amid rumors alleging he was a factor in the decision, with Garcia even referring to the older actor as his “Kuya.”

Anderson, meanwhile, shrugged off the accusation in late July, only saying he’s “used to” intrigues that come with his job.

Since Alonzo’s controversial post on Sunday, Garcia, Anderson, and Barretto has not made a statement directly addressing the persistent rumors.
