MANILA - Actress Carmina Villarroel said she is flattered when people praise her performance as a contravida in "Bridges of Love," but admitted that she wants to take a break from villain roles.
Before "Bridges of Love," Villaroel also played the role of a contravida in the defunct series "Got to Believe" starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
"Kung ako ang masusunod, sana huwag naman akong ma-typecast sa pagiging kontrabida," she said at the thanksgiving party of "Bridges of Love" on Thursday.
I don't know, nagpapa-wholesome na nga ako pero ganoon pa din," she added.
While she is looking forward to taking on another role, Villarroel said she is still open to the idea of getting a villain character, depending on the story of the TV series or movie.
"So kung 'yun ang i-offer nila, let's see. It really depends on the story. It really depends on the background of the character. Kung naiintindihan ko at naga-grasp ko siya fully, why not?" she said.
