In a taped interview aired on “Sarah G Live” on Sunday, Santos said she was deeply touched when Geronimo agreed to record the Stephen Bishop original for "In My Life" three years ago.
“I’ll take this opportunity to thank you dahil ikaw ang kumanta ng theme song namin ng ‘In My Life’ and nagkaroon din ng karagdagang impormasyon ang movie. Looking forward someday na ikaw ulit ang kakanta ng theme song ng pelikulang gagawin ko pa,” she said.
Santos also said she is hoping to work with Geronimo in a project.
Meanwhile, the Star for All Seasons greeted Geronimo on her 24th birthday and congratulated the singer-actress for the success of her own variety show, which is co-hosted by Santos' son Luis Manzano.
“Happy, happy birthday. Keep up the good work at maraming salamat din kasi co-host mo ang anak ko. Congratulations, I think ang ganda naman ng chemistry niyong dalawa. All the best and keep it going and may God bless you always,” she said.
Geronimo, for her part, greeted Santos for her 50th year in show business.
“Thank you very much po Gov. Vilma Santos sa message po ninyo. Maraming salamat po ang happy 50th showbiz anniversary po sa inyo,” she said.
