MANILA, Philippines - Batangas Governor Vilma Santos admitted that it was Kris Aquino who inspired her to do the horror-suspense film "The Healing" with director Chito S. Roño.
Aquino has starred in several hit horror films, including "Feng Shui" and "Sukob," both directed by Roño.
'Direk, gawa mo na ako ng suspense-horror," Santos told Aquino on Monday when she guested on ABS-CBN's morning show "KrisTV."
"Kasi nakita ko talaga 'yung ginawa niyo. Remember after 'Feng Shui,' nag-text ako sa iyo you are so good in that movie," she added.
"The Healing," which also stars Kim Chiu, tells a story of faith healer who decided to stop her healing sessions but was forced by group of patients. It opens in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, July 25.
Santos said she once did a horror film when she was still young -- "Anak ng Aswang" in 1973.
Santos admitted that she found it more difficult shooting a horror film compared with doing drama.
