Camp Kawayan trio battles for Sing Off slot

MANILA - Rocker Bamboo Mañalac named the first contestant from his team who will be moving on to the next round after Sunday's Battle Rounds on "The Voice Kids."

Kyle Mallari, Agatha Cruz and Thaddeus Salazar went head on with an emotional performance of Ariana Grande's "Almost is Never Enough."

Lea Salonga picked Salazar, while Sharon Cuneta picked Mallari as the best performer in the group.

Mañalac also went with Mallari.

"I'm so proud, 'yung anong klaseng reaction ang nakukuha niyo from both our coaches, that's the name of the game. You made this special. I believed the whole thing. It's about emotion. 'Yun ang binibigay niyo sa performance na 'to. "I really liked all of you," he said.

"The Voice Kids," hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, and Kim Chiu, airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and on Sundays after "Goin' Bulilit."
