MANILA -- Comedians and other local celebrities mourned the death of stand-up comedian Kim Idol, who died on Monday at a hospital in Caloocan City. He was 41.

Comedians including Ai Ai delas Alas, Allan K and Ogie Alcasid took to social media to pay their respect to Kim Idol, or Michael Argente in real life, who passed away due to AVM or brain arteriovenous malformation, according to a report published by Push.

In her Facebook post, the mother of Kim Idol paid tribute to her son.

We love u!" she wrote.

Kim was working as a volunteer frontliner during this COVID-19 pandemic. According to Push, he was a marshal of the Bureau of Quarantine at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, which was transformed to a quarantine facility for those who have tested positive for the coronavirus.
