MANILA -- Filipino band Parokya ni Edgar has regained control of their Facebook page, six weeks after it was "hacked" and started sharing sexually explicit videos to its nearly 5 million followers.
Chito Miranda announced the good news with a video explaining the arduous process of retrieving a "hacked" account, which includes getting a notarized document to prove that they are the real owners.
"I'm really so excited na nasa amin na ulit iyong page," he said, adding that they will be working hard in the next few weeks to fill the page again with content after everything was deleted.
He also said that it will take them at least seven days before they can revert its name to Parokya ni Edgar from "Viral," but as of writing, the page's name is back to normal already.
It was back in May when fans expressed concern and shock after the page shared a series of obscene pornographic videos.
