MANILA -- The third Battle of this Saturday's "The Voice Teens 2" was marred by a mistake, one that brought out the best from one of its contestants but also pointed towards the importance of consistency.
Ken Semira forgot the lyrics to his part of "214" during his Battle with JP Romero, prompting their coach Lea Salonga to encourage Semira to keep going, despite being visibly distraught.
Semira did and he proceeded to nail the rest of the song, drawing heaps of praise from Salonga and the other coaches.
"You were getting lost in the performance but in the right way, dahil sa naging investment mo sa kanta and who you're singing it for," he was told by Salonga. "Yes, it affected the technical aspect ng performance but you rose above it."
But when asked who she'll be keeping for the next round, Salonga opted for Romero's "consistency."
None of the other coaches used the "steal" privileges to try and save Semira from elimination.
The new "The Voice Teens" episode aired on the Kapamilya Channel, which is mainly available through cable providers such as Sky.
It airs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 7 p.m. on Sundays.
