MANILA - "We do!" wrote Beauty Gonzalez as the caption to a photo of her and her non-showbiz boyfriend hugging in front of Portugal's awe-inspiring Monastery of Batalha, sparking speculations from fans that she got married while vacationing in the European country.
"Married?" a fan asked the actress.
While she did not reply to the question, other photos of her touring Portugal's different scenic spots should prove enough of an answer that she and her boyfriend, art curator Norman Crisologo, just went sightseeing.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Gonzalez admitted that she is in no rush to get married as she wants to focus on reviving her acting career, which got sidelined following her controversial pregnancy.
Gonzalez, who gave birth five months ago, admitted that she felt a tinge of regret that her decision to get pregnant cost her possible roles that might have propelled her acting career to new heights.
"May kaunting panghihinayang. Hindi naman iyan nawawala sa atin," she said.
However, Gonzalez added, in an assured tone, that she could not be any happier now that she has a daughter: "Parang feeling ko may purpose na ako in life. I feel so complete. Ang sarap, sarap maging nanay."
Gonzalez was part of the light-hearted romance film, "The Achy Breaky Hearts." It was her first project following her exit from the hit daytime series "Ningning."
