Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano.
MANILA - Actress-host Toni Gonzaga, who is now married to director Paul Soriano, is not planning to have a baby soon.
In press conference for her upcoming series "Written In Our Stars," Gonzaga said she would do the TV soap first before getting pregnant.
"Definitely hindi during the span of the show. I gave my word to the show and my commitment to the show so tatapusin namin 'yon," Gonzaga said.
"Siguro next year, next, next year pa," the actress added.
Gonzaga, who married Soriano last June 12, had their honeymoon in Amanpulo.
Meanwhile, the actress also revealed the adjustments she had to make now that she is a married woman.
"May naghihintay na asawa sa akin na umuwi. Someone's waiting for me to come home, someone's waiting for me na hindi pa kumakain kasi gusto niya sabay kami, na hindi pa natutulog kasi gusto niya makausap ako. Kasi before, family ko ang inuuwian ko' ngayon I'm going home to a husband," Gonzaga said.
And she likes it.
"Grabe ang sarap pala ng buhay na may asawa kasi may ka-partner ka. If you have a long day or bad day someone can cheer you up when you go home. Ang sarap ng may nag-aalaga sa iyo," Gonzaga shared.
More mature roles
In the interview, Gonzaga also admitted that she is now open to doing more mature roles.
"I can't see myself doing daring scenes but more mature roles. Actually kapag sinabi sa ating mature that means shedding of clothes but like my role in this soap I'm a married woman so medyo iba 'yon kasi sa romantic comedy movies na ginagawa ko hindi ako married, but this one medyo mature ang role ko kasi may asawa na ako," she said.
Aside from being the main host of "PBB 737," Gonzaga is also doing the weekly show "Home Sweetie Home" with John Lloyd Cruz.
