MANILA -- Just days after ABS-CBN announced that it was shutting down the 24/7 livestreaming of "Pinoy Big Brother 737," a petition was launched to bring it back.
A petition to restore the live streaming service of the popular reality TV show was started by user Pepsi Punk at the popular website Change.org.
Punk said the live streaming service will give viewers an "unbiased perspective of the things happening" inside the famous yellow house.
The petition is aiming for 1,000 signatures. As of this writing, it has already solicited 529 supporters.
Punk credited the live streaming service for playing "a vital role towards the phenomenal success of the show to the masses" as it used by avid followers of the show to know more about the housemates.
Last week, ABS-CBN shut down the 24/7 livestreaming of "Pinoy Big Brother 737" amid the controversy involving housemates Bailey May and Kenzo Gutierrez.
In a statement, ABS-CBN said the network has taken a stand against the cyberbullying of May, 12, and Gutierrez, 18, whose close relationship has become the subject of "malicious" posts online.
