MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) - Eighteen-year-old Myrtle Sarrosa won the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition 4 held in Malolos, Bulacan on Saturday night.
Sarrosa, dubbed as "Cosplay Cutie ng Iloilo," garnered 33.92% of the net text votes, beating 3 other finalists by a wide margin of over 20-percentage points.
She won P1 million and other big prizes.
Sarrosa, who loves dressing up as anime characters, is known for her wit and strong disposition inside Big Brother's House.
Aside from being an accounting student at the University of the Philippines (UP) Iloilo, she's also a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman in her village.
"Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Patuloy ang pangarap," she said after the announcement during the Big Night. She was welcomed by her proud parents.
Ilonggo voters, support from the SK in the Visayas as well as the growing Cosplay [Costume Play] community could have been factors in her wide margin.
Karen Reyes won 2nd place after getting 11.91% of the net text votes. She won P500,000 cash, an appliance showcase and other prizes.
Roy Requejo, the only male among the finalists, placed 3rd with 9.38% of the net text votes. He won P300,000 cash and other prizes.
Jai and Joj Agpangan, the first twins to win in PBB, took 4th place with 9.26% of net text votes. They won P200,000 cash.
The Teen Big Night finale, held at the Malolos Sports Convention Center, was hosted by Robi Domingo, John Prats, Bianca Gonzales and Toni Gonzaga.
Among the stars who graced the big night were Kim Chiu, Slater Young, Richard Yap, Jodi Sta. Maria, Khalil Ramos, Daniel Padilla, and Kathryn Bernardo.
Kim Chiu, PBB Teen Edition 1's Big Winner, performed a dance number.
