MANILA — Kris Aquino credits the genes of her former partners — as well as proper sleep and nourishment — for the height of her children, Josh and Bimby.
The former TV host spoke candidly about the topic in an Instagram post on Thursday, in the context of Bimby effortlessly reaching their home’s ceiling to change a light bulb.
“Yes, genetics matter… But sleeping early and drinking milk are also vital to help achieve maximum growth,” she wrote.
According to Aquino, 24-year-old Josh stands 6-foot-2, while Bimby, at the mere age of 12, is already 5-foot-10.
Josh’s father, actor Phillip Salvador, is 5-foot-11 “to the best of memory,” Aquino added. Bimby’s father, basketball star James Yap, meanwhile, towers at 6-foot-3.
Aquino’s enumeration of numbers prompted playful comments from her followers, among them one who directly asked the actress who between Salvador and Yap is “bigger.”
Aquino, who is known for her frankness, did not leave the question unanswered, saying: “Since wala na ‘kong balak na masilayan pa hanggang kamatayan — care bears na ‘diba? Akala mo uurungan ko ‘yung tanong, ‘no?”
Aquino is estranged from both Salvador and Yap.
As recently as February, Aquino said she “made the mistake of loving” Salvador, in light of a “hurtful” joke he had made during a campaign sortie mentioning their past relationship.
Yap, who now has two children with current partner Michela Cazzola, meanwhile, has been the subject of Aquino’s public criticisms over the years, concerning the custody of and financial support for Bimby.
