MANILA -- The highly anticipated sold-out shows of American band LANY in the Philippines are just right around the corner.
And adding to the hype this Wednesday was the announcement that up and coming British pop artist Mabel is opening for all three days.
Mabel is best known for her hit "Don't Call Me Up," and is considered among the most exciting young acts of the UK music scene, having scored a nomination in the British breakthrough category of the 2019 Brit Awards.
She will open for all three concerts of LANY at the Mall of Asia Arena, which begins this July 23.
This will be Mabel's first visit to the Philippines, while this will be LANY's fourth.
The band first performed for Filipino fans in March 2017 via the music festival Wanderland. They returned 5 months later for a mall tour. In 2018, they held a concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
The trio, composed of Paul Klein, Les Priest, and Jake Goss, were supposed to return to Manila only for a one-night show. But tickets were immediately sold out and MMI Live added two more dates.
