MANILA – Action star Robin Padilla took to the image-sharing site Instagram to express that he has finally accepted his brother Rustom, who is now more known as BB Gandanghari.

In the post, Gandanghari is seen on a hospital bed while playing with Padilla’s son Ali.
“My son Ali showing his boxing moves to my sister bb gandanghari who used to be my brother Rustom who beats me up when we were young,” he said.
Padilla said Gandanghari was admitted to the hospital “because of a very serious infection.”
“She is so weak because of a very serious infection but her right cross is still as fast as before. My son was surprised and amazed,” he said.
In previous interviews, Gandanghari said he is hurt that his family having a hard time accepting him.
Gandanghari said he feels rejected that some of his siblings, including Padilla, still can’t acknowledge that their brother is now “dead.”
"'Yung acceptance ['yung pinakamasakit]. Kasi we are social people, we need to be accepted. It’s a need. So when you feel rejected, masakit. Tapos pamilya mo so para kang sinasaksak ng paulit-ulit. And yet kailangan mo pa rin maintindihan, otherwise, it’s very devastating,” he said at the time.
Padilla, on the other hand, revealed before that Gandanghari will forever be his brother even if the younger Padilla decides to become a woman.
“Wala nang basagan ng trip ngayon. Ang tatanda na natin, may basagan pa ng trip? Sana naman huwag [siya mapahamak]. Kung ano man ang trip niya, sana walang mangyaring masama. Dasal natin lahat iyon,” he said.
Padilla said he also sees no problem if they don’t communicate regularly as long as he knows for himself that he loves his brother.
Padilla said he can always aside his principle for his family.
