MANILA – Jolo Revilla took to social media to share his farewell message for his grandfather, former Senator Ramon Revilla Sr., who passed away on Friday.
On Facebook, Jolo said losing his grandfather, who he calls Daddy Ramon, may be tough but their family is comforted by the fact that he’s now in a place where he won’t feel any pain.
Jolo then reflected on how their relationship became so much better.
Jolo said he will forever be grateful for all the things his Daddy Ramon taught him.
Napakarami mong tinulungan, inalagaan at inaruga,” he said.
Jolo, who is currently vice governor of Cavite province, said he will take after his Daddy Ramon in protecting their family name.
“Mami-miss ka namin ng sobra. Rest well, Daddy. We love you,” he ended.
Revilla Sr. succumbed to heart failure nearly 2 months after hewas brought to the hospital due to breathing problems.
Revilla Sr. was known as "Hari ng mga Agimat" (King of Amulets) in Philippine showbiz.
He first suffered a stroke and underwent angioplasty in 2008.
In February 2017, he had a successful heart surgery and was able to celebrate his 90th birthday in March that year, a star-studded party attended by family and old friends from showbiz and politics.
