MANILA – Janella Salvador put Joshua Garcia in the hot seat when they both appeared in the Sunday episode of Toni Gonzaga’s online show “I Feel U.”
When they were allowed to ask their own questions to each other, Salvador seemed to have caught Garcia by surprise when she asked the latter why he has a crush on her.
The actor, however, did not need much time to think of a reply.
Sobrang mysterious mo kaya yun ang naging dahilan [kaya nagustuhan kita],” he said.
Salvador also wanted to ask what was Garcia’s impressions of her before they became friends and when they finally got the chance to work together in “The Killer Bride.”
Answering Salvador, Garcia said: “Maarte. Choosy ka kung sino ang kakausapin mo. Hindi ka warm na makakausap ng lahat. That time, parang hindi pa kita nakakausap.
Garcia said that was the time he realized he and Salvador are both introverts.
Before “The Killer Bride,” Garcia confessed he actually requested if he could have Salvador as a leading lady because he really admires her.
Sana magka-work kami together. Hindi niya binigay,” he recalled.
Garcia and Salvador previously described the formation of their tandem, now dubbed “Joshnella,” as a case of “perfect timing.”
The two had been cast in a number of projects together as early as 2016, but none of them ever made it to the screen — until “The Killer Bride” in August 2019.
After the series ended in January this year, the two worked together again in a “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode. Since then, they have yet to act opposite each other anew.
While they wait for their reunion project, Salvador and Garcia admitted they miss working with each other.
“Miss ko na siya. Miss ko na yung trabaho. Yung pagshu-shoot or taping.
He’s one of the best na naka-partner ko talaga ever,” Salvador added.
