MANILA – Filipino classical singer and “Asia’s Got Talent” finalist Gerphil Flores has finished two degrees at the University of the Philippines College of Music.
In a post on her official Facebook page on Friday, Flores happily announced that she now holds a diploma in Creative Performing Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Music, in which she received the distinction of Cum Laude.
“Lord, thank you! I can finally harvest what I’ve planted since 2010,” she wrote.
Flores admitted that her six years in college “wasn’t always a smooth ride,” but she still feels “truly blessed with all the experiences I had as an undergraduate student including my Asia’s Got Talent stint.”
She went on to thank her family, mentors and friends.
“This triumph is not mine but yours!” she wrote.
Early this year, Flores announced on her Instagram page that she earned a general weighted average of 1.468 from the UP College of Music, making her a “College Scholar.”
In UP, a College Scholar is equivalent to a Dean’s Lister.
