Valentine’s Day 2019 was extra special for Sofia Andres because that was that very day when she found out that she was pregnant. In her first interview after her surprise Father's Day announcement, Andres narrated how she found out she’s on the family way.

After nun, nag-positive agad. Honestly, sobrang saya ko nga eh, hindi ako natakot, wala 'yung ganung feeling," she said.

As she continued, she started becoming emotional.

"I think it was really meant na binigay siya sa akin ni Lord. Ang galing no? Kasi parang hinanda Niya talaga ako sa moment na 'yun, na-realize ko na ready ako," she said.

When she uttered that phrase "ready na ako," I asked her if this was a planned pregnancy. She said no. But what it was, was the security she felt with the decision to get pregnant with her long-time boyfriend Daniel Miranda.

Miranda is a 23-year-old race car driver, born in Cebu. They met in 2016 in a chance encounter while in a club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Andres said it was Miranda’s cousin who asked who she was and introduced her to Miranda. They exchanged numbers and were inseparable since then. Miranda is currently studying in Australia, when they found out that Andres was pregnant.

On August 5, five to six months on the way, Andres flew to Australia and lived with Miranda. In her Instagram video uploaded Sunday night, she shared the life she had with him.

‘Rollercoaster. Wala akong mommy. Magastos kasi ako, andiyan si Daniel to teach me how to do those things, how to be independent. Ang saya na medyo kinabahan talaga ako. First time ko kasi mag-abroad na mag-isa, tapos pregnant pa, 'di ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko. Ang saya kasi pagdating ko dun may mga tao na nagmamahal sa akin," she said.

On November 24, 2019 at 8:59 p.m., 21-year-old Sofia gave birth to baby Zoe.

"Masaya ngayong mommy na!" she exclaimed.

"Iba 'yung feeling talaga, 'di ko ma-explain. Sobrang saya, parang rollercoaster.

The whole family flew back to Manila and Baby Zoe was baptized on February 7 this year. Andres can’t help but appreciate how Miranda is keeping up with this new role as a dad.

It was inevitable to ask Andres if she would be taking a break from show business to focus on parenting. But she said: "Alam nating lahat na kailangan ko ring magtrabaho.

The two have no wedding plans as of now. Andres said they do not want to rush decision and take each day at a time and that is to prioritize taking care of Baby Zoe.
