MANILA -- A seven-year-old boy from Cebu earned the coveted three-chair on the second season of "The Voice Kids" on Sunday.
Joemar Lazarraga, who joined the competition to help his family financially, made all three coaches turn with his rendition of "Sa Mata Makikita."
"Gustong-gusto ko 'yung performance mo, swabeng swabe ka. Sana makasama ka sa Kamp Kawayan," rocker Bamboo Mañalac told Lazarraga.
"Gustong-gusto ka naming tatlo," Sarah Geronimo added.
Lea Salonga, on the other hand, reminded Lazarraga that she was the first coach who turned for him.
"Naku, Dodong, huwag mong kalimutan kung sinong unang umikot ah," she added.
Lazarraga eventually chose to be part of Salonga's team, joining other young artists Bianca Marbella, Noah Anderson, Reynan Dal-anay, Stephanie Jordan and Telesa Marie de Torres.
Team Sarah remains the team with the most members -- Alexia Dator, Alyssa Celo, Francis Lim, Gian Ale, Ken Membrano, Krystle Campos, Kyle Echarri and Zephanie Dimaranan.
Meanwhile, Mañalac has six artists on his team: Altair Aguelo, Atascha Mercado, Christian Pasno, Lance Macalinao, Martina Luis and Romeo Espino.
"The Voice Kids", which is hosted by Robi Domingo and Yeng Constatino, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
