MANILA - ABS-CBN mourned the death of Eddie Garcia, considered by many as one of the greatest actors in the history of Philippine showbiz.

Garcia's death was announced this Thursday afternoon. He was in a coma for nearly two weeks after sustaining a neck injury while shooting a TV series for GMA Network last June 8.

He was last seen on ABS-CBN as part of the hit primetime serye, "Ang Probinsyano." He played a villain to Coco Martin's lead character.
