Phil more expressive than girlfriend Angel Locsin

MANILA – Actress Angel Locsin admits her boyfriend, Azkals player Phil Younghusband, always beats her when it comes to arranging surprises.

In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Locsin said she always has to keep up with Younghusband, who is very creative in expressing his love for her.

“Ang hirap kasi lagi siyang may pasabog. Laging lamang kaysa sa akin. Mas sweet kasi siya kaysa sa akin. 'Yung mga ganyang bagay, hindi niya masyado pinag-iisipan. Ako talaga effort,” she said.

Just recently, the two celebrated their first anniversary as a couple.

As part of her gift for the football player, Locsin shared that she went out of her way and showed up at Younghusband’s game in Singapore.

“Anniversary namin the next day. Mayroon siyang game sa Singapore. Hindi ko na lang sinabi na nakahanap ako ng [free time], so pagdating ko doon, surprise surprise,” she said.

While she already went great lengths by traveling to another country to surprise Younghusband, Locsin said her boyfriend still managed to impress her with his own “gift.”

“Nagpapatulong ako kung ano ang pwedeng iregalo kasi lagi talaga akong kulelat pagdating sa regaluhan. Kahit na nag-surprise ako sa kanya sa Singapore, wala pa ring binatbat sa video. Talo na naman ako,” she said.

Locsin was talking about a video presentation showing all their memories together since they first dated more than a year ago.

But more than any kind of gift, Locsin said Younghusband’s relationship with her father is the most precious thing for her.

“Okay sila. Kapag nag-uusap sila, sports. Pareho silang athletic. Meron silang mga salita na sila lang nakakaintindi, hindi ako nakakasingit talaga. Minsan nao-OP na ako.,” she said.

In earlier interviews, Younghusband referred to Locsin as his "true love," and expressed his intention of "having a future with Angel."
