MANILA, Philippines – Socialite actress Gretchen Barretto cordially met the media who went to the set of her photo shoot this week for her latest endorsement.
Barretto gamely answered all questions about family, career, and her recovery from a recent trampoline accident.
She said she dreams of studying again.
But the actress felt offended when a reporter from the print media pointed out that while her daughter Dominique is already in college, she just finished 3rd year high school.
"That's very intrusive. Why emphasize that? ... Kakulangan ko ba 'yon bilang tao? Humaharap naman ako ng maayos sa inyo so why grill me on that? I think we should stop this interview. Nakakapikon na!," Greta said before she turned her back on reporters.
ABS-CBN's "TV Patrol" later caught up with Barretto at the fashion show of Inno Sotto and other designers at Makati Shangri-La Hotel.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Barretto explained she did not walk out during the interview.
"I did not (walk out). I just chose to stay away from a situation which is against my sensibility and dignity. You just can't stand by and accept all questions thrown by media against you and be kawawa. That was my choice," Barretto said.
A representative from the company which got Barretto as endorser stressed that there was no walkout as the actress finished her photo shoot.
Barretto appealed to the media to remember that showbiz people have feelings too. -- Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
