When the judges separated them into two groups, the assumption, as with how scenes like this previously played out, was that one half will be moving on to the next round, while the other will be going home.
But it would be cruel if two from the group of Ibrahim Onggo, Kier King, Ramil Permigones, and Jeremiah Torayno were to go home considering their cover of Calum Scott's "Dancing On My Own."
The judges of "Idol Philippines" were clearly impressed, applauding the four for their on-point harmonization.
But when Permigones and King were asked to step towards one side of the stage, Torayno and Onggo perhaps feared the worst.
Luckily for them, the judges were just playing with them and eventually gave all of them passing grades.
Hosted by Billy Crawford, "Idol Philippines" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
