He's not one to shy away from talking about his relationship with Mika Reyes, calling the volleyball star as the "one" for him.

And his interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" Friday proved to be similarly open, as Jerome Ponce shared the things he learned from Reyes.

He was asked about whether he would allow Reyes to join beauty contests, given by his own admission that he's the jealous type.

He replied by saying that one of the lessons he got from Reyes was to not be selfish with their time, and let her do whatever she wants. "Kung para sa kaniya, para sa kaniya," he said.

This prompted the show to prod more about the biggest lesson he learned from his girlfriend, to which Ponce replied: "Huwag kang magsasayang ng oras mo para sa mali."

"Tayong lahat naiinis, nagagalit, sumasama loob --kailangan natin kontrolin iyong sarili natin at gawin natin positive iyong sa atin. Kahit sa atin muna manggaling iyong positive," he added.

Ponce was on the late-night talk show to promote his upcoming barkada movie, "Walwal," which also stars Elmo Magalona, Kiko Estrada and Donny Pangilinan.

It is directed by Jose Javier "Joey" Reyes, who considers his latest movie to be an updated version of his 1990s flick "Pare Ko."
