MANILA – Long-time love team partners John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo took a trip down memory lane as they read the “One More Chance” novel together while in Spain.
Cruz and Alonzo headlined the well-loved 2007 movie as the lead characters Popoy and Basha.
In the Instagram posts of Alonzo’s handler Monch Novales, Cruz and Alonzo can be seen sharing a good laugh as the actor holds the book.
In the caption, Novales wrote: “Popoy and Basha discussing the #onemorechance book.”
Novales also posted another collage of Cruz and Alonzo’s photos, which they joked could pass off as a pictorial for a movie poster.
Written by Juan Miguel Sevilla and published by ABS-CBN Publishing, the “One More Chance” novel is based on the movie’s screenplay by Vanessa Valdez and Carmi Raymundo.
It tells the story of a couple who initially thought that they are destined to be together forever. However, they eventually parted ways to have more space and personal growth.
The book is divided into chapters, each peppered with “hugot” relationship quotes popularized by the movie.
Meanwhile, Novales also posted video clips of the two Kapamilya stars where they reenacted a famous scene from “Once More Chance.”
Last December, Cruz and Alonzo re-visited a location featured in "One More Chance," triggering speculation that a sequel to the 2007 box-office hit is in the works.
However, Star Cinema never confirmed whether a big-screen sequel to "One More Chance" is in production.
