Fans of the disbanded South Korean girl group 2NE1 have not heard much from main vocalist Park Bom following the group's disbandment in 2016.
That is, until Monday, when the 34-year-old K-pop star took to social media to post a selfie, along with a message expressing her desire to sing again and hinting at a possible comeback.
"Everyone, are you doing well? I want to sing. I’ll bring good music for you to listen to soon," she wrote in Korean.
"Everyone, I’m starting to get ready. You’ve waited a long time for this, right? I miss all of my fans from around the world. I hope you get ready too. I’ll make you happy," Bom said.
Bom debuted alongside CL, Minzy and Sandara Park in 2009 as part of YG Entertainment's 2NE1, one of K-pop's most successful and popular girl groups in recent years.
During 2NE1's run, Bom also released two solo singles, "You and I" and "Don't Cry," which both reached number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, South Korea's national music chart.
The group announced disbandment on November 2016 and Bom has since left YG Entertainment.
