MANILA -- One of the main taglines for her "I Am Hope" foundation, which aims to help frontliners against COVID-19, is "Together We Can."
And it looks like Bea Alonzo is trying to encourage as many people as possible to help out with the cause by highlighting what one of her closest friends in showbiz, John Lloyd Cruz, had done recently.
This Tuesday, Cruz was seen distributing food to frontliners, senior citizens, and other people hard at work in his barangay in Cebu City.
"Proud of you," was what Alonzo wrote as she shared with her fans on Instagram, via Stories, Cruz's small act of generosity.
The photos came a week after Cruz was pictured giving away free medicine to children.
Alonzo has been busy with her own humanitarian efforts for those affected by COVID-19 via her foundation, I Am Hope, which she co-founded with her friend, Rina Navarro.
It was initially a food drive for vulnerable communities amid the crisis, but has since evolved into a donation platform with the goal of augmenting immediate and long-term needs of frontliners.
Around the end of May, it has raised more than P9 million in cash and in-kind donations, and has reached 44 hospitals and 36 communities.
