MANILA -- Painting helps ease her depression and anxiety.
But this past week, Heart Evangelista shared that she found another use for her art -- selling them to buy tablets to help enable hundreds of Pinoy students to study online while schools remain closed.
Evangelista posted on Twitter her painting which she sold to buy 550 tablets to give away.
She wrote as the caption: "My struggles in life are unknown to many but art, fashion and expressing myself has always helped me cope with my not so fairytale life."
"The time, hard work and love that I put out in this artwork was well worth it as the proceeds have allowed me to purchase 550 tablets for angels."
It was last week when Evangelista announced that she'll be giving away tablets, citing concerns from poorer families that their children might not have access to education, as schools shift to online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Physical classes have been discouraged to avoid exposing students, teachers and other school personnel to the virus.
She had asked her fans to message her on Instagram if they want to avail of the gadget, and this Monday she warned people of fake accounts claiming to be her and asking for personal details.
