MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) – Socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton talked about her friendship with Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee during her guesting stint on the American late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
“I am. He was just texting me yesterday,” Hilton said when asked by Kimmel if she is friends with the Filipino boxer and his wife.
“I was at his big fight in Vegas and his wife wanted to meet me so they brought me onstage at the press conference after and then we became friends,” she said.
Hilton met the Pacquiaos after she watched the Fighter of the Decade’s recent battle with “Sugar” Shane Mosley.
She said she will see them again when she visits the Philippines.
Her shop in Davao, called Paris Hilton Bags and Accessories, just opened last month.
Hilton admitted she admires the Filipino boxing icon not just on the ring but also when he sings.
“He [sang] on your show. I watched it actually,” she said.
She is also open to the idea of singing a duet with Pacquiao when he makes an appearance on Kimmel’s show again.
When told that Jinkee might get upset, Hilton said: “No, she’s sweet. I love Jinkee. She’s so sweet.”
Pacquiao, meanwhile, is delighted to hear that Hilton is open to do a duet with him.
“Maganda 'yan. Siguro mangyayari 'yan 'pag ginusto ng panahon,” he said.
He is hoping that Hilton visits the Philippines one of these days.
“Sana makabisita na siya dito sa Pilipinas,” said the boxing champion.
