Angelica Jones graduates from AIM leadership course 1MANILA, Philippines – Angelica Jones has proved that nothing is impossible as long as you work hard to achieve it.

On Thursday, Jones graduated from a short course on leadership and development management for young legislators at the Asian Institute of Management.

"Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na mararating ko ito," said Jones.

The actress-politician and 64 other elected and appointed government officials received a 1-week scholarship from Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

Jones said she wants to put behind all the bad experiences she had in the showbiz industry.

"Hindi hadlang ang anumang limitasyon para makapag-aral ang isang tao, kaya nga tayo binigyan ng Diyos ng utak at kamay para gamitin at mapabuti natin ang ating buhay," she said.

She previously took a local government crash course at University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman.

Jones and comedian Ryan Yllana, who is now a Parañaque councilor, took the UP course.

She said she will continue to pursue her “bottle school project” in San Pablo, Laguna.

The school is the first in Asia that used recycled plastic bottles as construction material. -- Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
