MANILA - Former matinee idol Baron Geisler is in high spirits ahead of his planned mixed martial arts match against indie actor Kiko Matos, promising viewers "there will be blood."
Geisler, 34, has accepted the invitation of the Universal Reality Combat Championship to settle his differences with Matos in a cage fight. This, after a video of his brawl with the indie actor at a Quezon City bar went viral.

Geisler, in an interview with reporters at the sidelines of the opening of the French Film Festival on Wednesday, said he has started training for the much-talked about fight.
"It's very exhausting kasi I'm having a hard time with all the media and iyung mga interviews, instead of me running or training," he admitted. "Huminay-hinay na rin ako sa paninigarilyo kasi I need to stay focused."
Geisler, however, clarified that he has yet to sign a contract with the Universal Reality Combat Championship. "Right now in the works pa rin iyong contract signing but mayroon nang kontrata," he said.
Geisler added that he is willing to mend ties with Matos before the fight to satisfy the condition set by the Universal Reality Combat Championship.

The film was honored at the gala night of the French Film Festival 2016.
