MANILA – As Yeng Constantino takes over Alex Gonzaga’s post in the second season of “The Voice Kids,” Luis Manzano believes the singer will do an equally good job in co-hosting the talent show.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Manzano said Constantino knows how it feels to join singing competitions and this will work to her advantage.
“When I learned it was Yeng taking her (Alex) spot, sabi ko ‘Ah oo!’ Kasi kilala ko din si Yeng sa likod ng camera. I know Yeng na sobrang kulit din niyan,” he said.
“She’s been through the same process. She’s been part of a singing contest. Alam na niya 'yung pakiramdam, especially mga bata 'yan. Kumbaga, alam niya kung paano kausapin ang mga bata,” he added.
With Constantino as part of the show, Manzano said it is a “win-win” situation for everyone in “The Voice Kids.”
In a past interview, Constantino admitted that she feels pressured to continue what Gonzaga has started.
“May ganung klaseng pressure. Kailangan ko lang po yakapin 'yung moment. Sobrang saya po na maka-experience ng panibagong trabaho bukod sa pagkanta. Ngayon, iba naman,” she said.
Joining Constantino and Manzano in hosting “The Voice Kids 2” is Robi Domingo. It will air on ABS-CBN every Saturday and Sunday. It showed its pilot episode on Saturday.
