MANILA, Philippines – Acclaimed actress and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos on Thursday said she has no plans to run for senator in the 2013 elections.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Santos said she does not have any ambitions to become a lawmaker.
“Ang dami nang magkapamilya sa Senado, dadagdag pa kami? Wala akong ganyang ambisyon,” she said.
Santos is the wife of Senator Ralph Recto.
Meanwhile, Santos revealed she is willing to divulge her statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) to prove that all her properties are legal.
“Excuse me may pera naman talaga ako at pinagtrabahuhan ko 'yan since I was nine years old,” she said.
Santos also admitted that she has foreign currency accounts.
On Thursday, Santos was launched as one of the endorsers of Generic Medicine, along with 2012 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Janine Tugonon.
Santos is also set to go to Hawaii with Recto before she returns to the country to start promoting her comeback movie “The Healing.” – from a report by Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
