MANILA -- "Sid & Aya (Not A Love Story)," the first big screen team-up of Anne Curtis and Dingdong Dantes, has already made P80 million in box-office sales one week since it opened in cinemas.
Producer Viva Films announced the figure via its official Instagram account on Wednesday.
“Maraming salamat sa tuloy tuloy na pagmamahal ninyo sa Sid & Aya (Not A Love Story)! Sa mga di pa nakakanood, NOOD NA,” Viva said in the caption.
The movie made P9 million after its nationwide debut on March 30.
Viva also announced that US screenings of the film will kick off on June 8.
Curtis has been consistently thanking her supporters for making the movie “a topic of discussion after leaving the cinemas.”
Written by Irene Villamor, the movie, at least on the surface, follows the titular characters -- an insomniac who hires a mysterious woman to keep him company and cope with his loneliness.
