MANILA – They haven’t started filming the prequel of “Four Sisters and a Wedding” yet but it looks like Alexa Ilacad is already practicing playing the younger version of Bea Alonzo’s character Bobbie Salazar.
In her most recent Instagram post, Ilacad mimicked Alonzo as she delivered Bobbie's lines from the 2013 box office hit.
Ilacad’s TikTok video gained hundreds of comments with most netizens saying Star Cinema made the perfect choice when she was tapped to play the younger Alonzo.
Last February, Star Cinema announced that the new movie will be titled “Four Sisters Before the Wedding.” It will be headlined by Ilacad as Bobbie, Gillian Vicencio as Alex, Charlie Dizon as Teddie, and Belle Mariano as Gabbie, while Giselle Andres will direct it.
The original movie released was headlined by Alonzo, Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Shaina Magdayao and Enchong Dee.
In that film, sisters Teddie (Gonzaga), Bobbie (Alonzo), Alex (Locsin) and Gabbie (Magdayao) gather home for a "big event" -- their youngest sibling's (Dee) wedding.
However, the four sisters, left with a foul impression after meeting the bride's family, conspire to block the wedding.
As they scheme to "save" their only brother, the siblings are also forced to face problems in their family.
The prequel will be set 10 years before the beginning of the original movie and it will show how the relationship of the siblings came about.
